Experience

John is the Area Manager for all of our construction projects throughout Southern California. In this role, he is in charge of business development, cost estimating, engineering personnel, construction crews, as well as the daily operations.

John has overseen a variety of projects over his years in the industry. A brief selection of these projects include:

    • Project Engineer in charge of preparing a geotechnical report including field exploration, slope stability analyses for the repair of a landslide in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles.  Oversaw construction for the repair of the slide.  Construction consisted of a soldier pile and reinforced concrete wall with tiebacks.  Earthwork consisted of the removal of slide debris and the placement of 12,000 cubic yards of fill.

    • Project Engineer in charge of preparing a geotechnical report including field exploration, slope stability analyses for the repair of a landslide in the City of Calabasas.  Oversaw construction for the repair of the slide.  Construction consisted of a soldier pile with wood lagging wall with tiebacks.  Earthwork consisted of the removal of slide debris and the placement of 3,000 yards of fill.

    • Project Manager for the repair of a landslide in the City of Agoura Hills.  Work included the removal and recompaction of approximately 36,000 cubic yards of materials.

    • Project Engineer in charge of preparing a geotechnical reports including field exploration, slope stability analyses for the repair of several coastal bluffs in Encinitas and Solana Beach.  Recommended designs included tied-back seawalls and upper bluff retention systems.  Oversaw the construction of over 2000 lineal feet of lower bluff seawalls and 1000 feet of upper bluff retentions systems.
